Meet The Team

Andy Clarke

Andy is the owner driver. He started racing in 2021 and put the team together for the 2022 Endurance Champoinship at Daytona Milton Keyes. Wanting to be sucessful and take on a challenge in 2023 he entered the Cole Clarke Racing Team into the 24 Hours Le Mans and the 24 Hours Teeside, as well as the the 24 Hours Daytona in Milton Keynes.

Through the 2023 season Andy was able to develop the team and bring good results. Having been able to move to a second kart on track creating more oportunities for new drivers to enter the team.

Andy is alwys looking to the future and hopes to bring new challenges in 2024 and beyond.

Nigel Gordon

Nigel is our team manager. He has always had a love of motorsport and has now taken on the responsibilty of getting the team to the podium. Nigel will come up with stratagies, manage fuel stops and driver changes. Nigel is mostly seen with his earphones on communicating with the driver.

Nigel is an asset to the team and is well regarded  by other teams on the grid. Always with a smile and a joke he is very supportive of the drivers and will even appear at their test days and other race events day to support them.

In 2024 Nigel was able to work on the development of the team and under his management brought home a 2nd place at the Daytona 3 hours, an overall 1st at the Daytona 6 hours and a second in class in our first attempt in the British 24 hours.

In 2024 Nigel will be seaking opportunities for new drivers in Cole Clarke Racing. It has been announced that Nigel is to step down from 24 hours racing events. This is sad news as Nigel has been there from the start. We have not lost Nigel as he will still be the team manager for the 3 and 6 hours events.

Ed Lau

Ed has come to us from a diverse background in racing. Ed has previously been racing Motorbikes and Power Boats. He has taken the change to karts for a fresh challenge.

Ed is a very good edition to the team bring with him much laughter and a relaxed approch helping to keep the team motivated though out the race.

Ed continues to drive with the team but has now moved to work alongside Andy and working to bring a bigger future to the team.

Barry Packer

Barry has always been a petrol head with a love of all things ‘engines’. After Barry left school he went on to do mechanics at college and has been a vehicle technician since. He began drag racing in his mid 20’s with a beloved Rx7 and this continued through to late 30’s with his Civic Type R. Barry also had his fair share of track days. All of the above Barry has decribed as having been for fun and thoroughly enjoyable, every minute of it! He has always dabbled in a bit of karting and his love for the sport has strengthened since I turned 40 and was bought his first kart suit. Barry has done many a race on his own and loved the thrill it gave him, but had never had the opportunity to race competitively until a chance meeting with Andy at an open sprint race karting session. Since experiencing being part of the team Barry realised that this is what he was missing and is what he love most about the sport! It gives him such a buzz that we’re all working towards the same goal together and can encourage one another, offer advice and a few laughs along the way. Barry is now looking forward to what the future holds for us as a team.

Rachel Reddington

Rachel is the team systems technician collating all the data for the race and supporting the team manager providing technical data.

Rachel is a former TV reporter for Motors TV interviewing drivers up and down the grid and reporting on the inside workings of teams in circuit racing. Rachel is also a marshal at Silverstone and works with a great team to keep races running and drivers safe. Rachel is new to karting and in 2024 completed her first 24 hour race. She is a silent asset to the team playing a vital roll, and in her first few races with the team as already assisited in delivering several podiums. Rachel brings with her a wealth of knowledge of motorsport with focus and determination with open approach to all.

Eliza Seville

Eliza has now moved to do more circuit racing but can still be found sometimes supporting the team.

Eliza had come to us from a circuit background having tested MX5 cars and other forms of prototype cars. As a former Formula Womens Finalist and returning to the finals in 2022 she is not to be taken likely on track.

In December 2022 Eliza won the Formula Womens competition gaining her a full season in GT racing. We wish her all the best and hope she will be able to continue racing with us.

James Brown

James has moved on in his career and can now be found racing in prokarts in the BPEC Championship where he is achieving great sucess.

James is like a poker player. He does not show his hand but he is watching everything that is going on and is very analytical. He is able to advise the team how to change things in their race. Once in the car the only time you will see James is as he laps you.

James has entered into Club100 for the 2023 season for individual sprint races. We wish James good luck in his new adventure. James will still be driving with us in 2023.

At the start of the 2023 season James found himself racing against RedBull F2 drivers Jak Crawford and Ayumu Iwasa. At the time of writing this Ayumu Iwasa after 6 races is leading the Championship with Jak Crawford is in 15th place. James was able to fight these tow all the way coming second with Crawford taking the win and Iwasa in 3rd.

Elliot competed in a 6 hour race at Daytona Milton Keynes. He wanted to try karting but decided that he prefered to do what he was doing. We wish Him all the best for the future.
